PlayThings MMM

This is my piece for Mixed Media Monday. The theme is Play Things. I used an image I had from Flickr but I don't know the source anymore. The cartoon figures are from old tin whistles
The background is a Tim Holtz paper and an old harlequin SU stamp.

Oh this is darling!

Thanks for the kind comments. I had to laugh when I saw Marnies comment about not being a clown person because I have a slight phobia about clown and doll head art myself. This started out as a man and his toys getting older anended up being a slightly scary clown!

This is fab Nan, I love the quote around the side. Thanks so much for your advice on my blog - such a simple idea but I would never have thought of putting a book or stamp under my canvas x

This is WONDERFUL! I love everyhing about this piece. I love your mixed media pieces, your tags, the Compendium projects! But this one really tickles, especially with the saying that you have wrapped around the edge! It reminds me of the old saying - "The only difference between the men and the boys is the price of their toys!!!"
