Compendium Of Curiosities #13 Flowers

These are my flowers for this weeks Compendium Of Curiosities challenge at Linda's StudioL3......I usually have a few goes at whatever challenge but get it right finally however this time I really had a time with these dang flowers. And the thing was I thought this would be so simple.....HAH! Anyway I ended up with a #13 flower in honor of Week 13.....can you believe it? And another flower that will be a charm for my tag book when we finish up and I put these all together. I stamped an older TH numbers stamp on a glimmer misted inside out envelope and the other is a Shimmerz misted old book page. I attached these with Claudine Hellmuth's Multi Medium. I think it is ok to tell you that much because he doesn't mention it as his adhesive and that was the tricky part for me. I made a the little #13 pin following Wendy Vecchi's little trick of a TH memo pin, a tiny punched word and some Glossy Accents. It's on her blog...a lot of fun and I will be doing that again. Go get his book if you haven't and play along. we still have many fun things to do!

Gorgeous flowers and I love the embellishments you have added and what a great idea to use one as a charm/dangle addition to another project. Lovely pieces. Tracy Evans x

Wow, these turned out great! And I love the "charm for your book" idea! I'm totally gonna steal it! And there's absolutely nothing you can do about it! NOTHING!!!

Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!

Nan, I'm sorry you had such a time with these, but boy, did they ever turn out beautifully! You constructed them perfectly, and the soft colors and cool patterns are wonderful. The charm will be awesome on your tag book! Great idea!

The other flower-- are you going to wear it as a brooch? It would be STUNNING with a winter scarf. Or attached to a hair pin or barrette! It's too gorgeous NOT to wear it for the world to see.

By the way, you photo of Miss Mina just makes my heart happy. :-)

The flowers turned out great! We used to pin these on our lapels of our big shouldered blazers in the 80's... Now I see them on handbags...

Hi Nan, thanks for coming over to see my blog and the finished card, I see you have finished your flowers and added your own little twist. Just so beautiful. I went to the Craftbarn today and though I had a sore throat and my voice was going I had to go as I missed the June one. It was so exciting, few of the designers, Christine Dark, Kay carley, Beatrice Neumiser, Jo. Firth Young and Helen Chilton, I know Christine Dark and Helen Chilton both go on WOYWW. So it was real fun to meet faces to names. Hugs JO.xx
