WOYWW Time To Organize!

This is my first post here. This neat blog by Julia seems to have taken on a life of it's own recently. I see it everywhere and it is fascinating to see everyone's space. Forgive me Julia for being one of the many new faces adding to your list and probably making you crazy!
I love to do MMM, Three Muses and Linda's CC Tim Holtz challenge so my desk is always crazy! I've departed from teal for a bit and am obsessed with Cherry red...I just dyed some tags with KoolAid as you can see in the second photo. Taking photos of my space made me realize I need to take a break and get some organizing done! I was asking in an earlier post if anyone else has a hard time being in creative and organizing mode at the same time and the consensus seems to be that they are two separate areas of the brain and it IS hard to do both. So here is one small glimpse with a before and after post soon to follow as I work on getting some semblance of order in my workspace. :)

Kool Aid takes me back a while to when someone sent me lots but to make my ep's smell nice - didn't know it could be used for other things (apart from drinks of course).
Great to see your desk.

Hi Nan,
I couldn't believe what you talked about on your blog as I have a "saga" of sorts going on at my I Owe it All to Him blog...
I am creating an art center and hoping it will be like a phoenix rising from the desert...or in my case, creating order out of chaos (re-doing my whole art space...) I've got before and half-after photos...thought you'd get a kick out of it....

Also, I know you're into red...there is a challenge called Rednesday...I don't know if you've heard of it...It's every Wednesday.

Take good care!
Hugs,
Cindy

I seem to be on an organising streak at the moment and therefore I am not scrapping much (think I have scrappers block!) so you could be right about only been able to do one of them! Lovely desk there and nice big pot of flowers - welcome to woyww :)

I keep my workspace picked up and tidy all the time. I can't work in clutter or disorganization because I can't find anything if I do. However, I also find when I'm not creative, if I go in and straighten or organize, it helps take my mind off my lack of creativity and something usually kick starts things again.

Welcome to WOYWW. It is addictive and I know you will love it here. You know you can't do it just once and you will find friends galore.

Thanks for popping over, the glue tubes are a soft tin/metal so are easily cut with scissors (wait when empty though!) and go through my BigShot just like card or paper!

Welcome to WOYWW Nan - never too many and already crazy, so not a problem there! Your desk looks particularly uncluttered to me. Love the strawberry Kool Aid bottle - had to enlarge to make sure the tag didn't say 'drink me'. Am loving the collected red stash..I wonder if it would be easier to work if stash was colour sorted...hmm. Trouble is, you need a year off to re-sort! Couldn't agree more about the tidy/untidy/sorting/mojo discussion results...sorting stuff makes me feel more creative but I resent the time I have to spend doing it. Hasn't changed the shambles style I work in though!
