Deep Purple

Another week, another great Compendium Of Curiosities challenge at Studio L3 . This was a lesson in using alcohol inks to create a mono print. I THOUGHT I knew how to use alcohol inks but I really did learn a lesson this week! I used Wild Plum, Meadow and Bottle Green with a touch of gold. Took me three tries to get this right but it really was fun! Thanks Linda!

Nan, thank YOU for sharing such gorgeous art! Your tag turned out great-- you have a cool, Northern Light effect going on! The design is lovely, as well, with the bird stamp and embellishments. I'm so happy you played along with the third Challenge, and hope to see you next week!

Hugs,
Linda

Hmmm...blogger ate my first post. Weird. Anyway, I was saying that you did a beautiful job with the purple; I had to push purple away after awhile because it kept taking over the other colors. There was definitely a learning curve involved here! Love the bird and the lace, as always you did a beautiful job.

Great tag and colors! Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving sweet commnets. I have been using lots of fabric and layering denim with cottons and knis to make flowers by die-cutting also. Cool results! Try some.
